- Obtain a Raspberry Pi (with 40 pin GPIO), such as Raspberry Pi Zero, 2 or 3 (or compatible alternative)
- Plug in the HAMKit VMAC PiHat to the Pi
- Download the latest OS version of Raspbian from the below link. This could be the full version or lite.
- Copy the image to a micro SD card (ideally 8GB or larger). This should be a minimum of SD Class 4, but ideally a faster SD Class 10.
- Install the image to the SD card. Example details can be found:
- Once installed and on your Pi Desktop, you will need to make a few but important changes to the settings that will enable I2C, SPI, UART (plus for later use ideally SSH and VNC).
- Download one of our sample / demo Python scripts
- Open Thonny, load a Python script / code and run.
